The servers and the database, the domains, the email that carries invites and reminders, and the developer accounts the FRC BOM app ships through are all paid for by its maintainer. Hosting. The site, the database, and the API behind the FRC BOM app and the Onshape panel.
Domains, email and app stores. frcbom.com, the mailbox that sends invites, reminders and password resets, and the Apple and Google developer accounts.
Time. The evenings that go into new features and into the feature requests teams send in.

The fine print

Supporting FRCBOM unlocks nothing. Every feature stays free for every team, whether or not anyone on it ever contributes.
FRCBOM is an independent project, not a registered charity or nonprofit. A contribution is a gift toward running it, not a tax-deductible donation, and no tax receipt is issued.
The payment is processed by Buy Me a Coffee under its own terms and privacy policy. FRCBOM learns the amount and whatever name and email you type there, and nothing else about you.
